Contact Covid-19 Safety Response Lead

July 1, 2021

NYS has dropped many of its COVID19 restrictions. Local establishments are bustling with activity. Mask are required on a per business basis. Plan ahead if you want to eat out, many restaurants are understaffed and overwhelmed. Our Rec Room is open, pleas follow posted rules. Kayaks, paddleboards, and row boats are available on first come first serve basis. We will be continuing our 3 step advanced cleaning process for a while longer.

May 15, 2021

We’ll be updating our rules soon. NYS is moving towards opening and things are changing quickly. Right now the Rec Room is open and Beach capacities are still at 50%. Stay tuned for updates.

The list of travel restricted locations is changing very often. We have removed outdated lists from our website and added links to NYS page that is updated as the details come out. At the time of the reservation your departure location must not be listed. If your departure location is listed sometime in between reservation and 2 days before arrival you may either extend your stay to 14 days or cancel. 100% refund will be issued if you decide to cancel.

May 19, 2020:

Loons, while we’ve spoken to a lot of you about this summer, we haven’t spoken to ALL of you, and we thought it was time to send out a note!
Below is what we posted to our Facebook page, which does a good job of explaining things, but we also want to let you know that our ‘door’ is open if you’ve got any questions about your vacation with us, just reach out!
We’ve also relaxed our 90 day payment deadline down to 45 days for this year. So if you’ve got a reservation coming up, and you haven’t paid yet, let us know your plans. If you have decided that you can no longer make it to the lake this year, we will be sad, but we understand! We ask that you let us know as soon as you can if your plans have changed, so we can try and fill that week (but only for this year, you can keep your 2021 reservation if you’d like!) And, if you’re feeling sick before your vacation, please plan to stay home, and reschedule for another time!

Facebook post  May 19, 2020:

Loons, isn’t planning for the future these days, seemingly impossible? We’ve realized that too- and wanted to share with you some details of our plans for ️Summer 2020 at the Lake!
Lately it’s tough to plan even a month out, therefore we have relaxed our cancellation policy. Please call us at 518-832-9229 or email info@adkbirchwood.com to discuss your reservation.
☑️ New and existing reservations for 2020 (deposit and rental amount) will be 100% refundable if cancelled up to 48 hours before your stay.
☑️ If you’d like, we will gladly reschedule you and forward tha
t payment to a future available date.
⭐️ We want to work with you all, so let us know what you need! We are offering this flexibility to give you peace of mind and the ability to plan your family’s time together. ⭐️
Many of the attractions and resources in our region are still shut down (at the time of this writing). If you’re a regular, you already know this, but for those of you that are new — each cottage is self-sustaining with your own fire pit area, charcoal grill, porch, etc. You won’t have to interact with anyone if you don’t want to!
Please plan to participate in self-guided activities; like boating, hiking, campfires, enjoying the lake, and relaxing.
Enjoy takeout from our local establishments! You’ll be pleasantly surprised (ask us about our favorites)!
Access to shared areas (rec room, docks, and beach) may change throughout the summer depending on CDC guidance. As soon as we are advised, we will let you know our plans and process and update signage accordingly. ⛱
In addition to our normal cleaning procedures we have established additional CDC guided sanitation practices for the entire property. We have this plan available for all guests, customers, and certified agencies to view.
We know that you guys are absolutely itching to get out of your house, into the fresh air, and enjoy summer fun at the lake (we are, too!) – we are so grateful that you’re able to do that at Birchwood – we want you to feel comfortable about your decision to stay with us!
If you have any questions you want to ask, please reach out! We are touched by the love and support you’ve continued to show us! Thank you for being strong with us.  BRIGHTER DAYS ARE AHEAD!

We’ll see you soon, Loons!
